Guided tour of the Mosque of Cordoba + Medina Azahara

Medina Azahara and the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba are two jewels of the Andalusian heritage that reflect one of the most fruitful periods of the city.

The tour begins in the morning at Medina Azahara, where you can arrive on your own or with the transfer from Cordoba if you select the option that includes it. Once at the site, an expert guide will lead you through the remains of this ancient palatine city from the 10th century and you will understand the history of the Caliphate.

In the afternoon, the tour continues at the Mosque-Cathedral, where you will understand the fusion between the Islamic and Christian architecture of Cordoba. You will walk through the forest of horseshoe arches, the maqsura and the mihrab and you will also discover the Christian additions, such as the Renaissance chapels, which reveal its transformation into a cathedral.
